From the Google website: "Google Pixel Watch does not need its own line. Once you have paired with your phone and activated the 4G LTE option with a compatible carrier, Google Pixel Watch will share the same number as your phone."
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only the LTE model can use a phone plan. The LTE is strange. The phone needs a carrier that will add a second line labeled for a watch. Many carriers don't support this. If you have a prepaid account, you are out of lock. You can't get this second line. So, this second line with a phone number for the watch can't be used, the watch's phone number will be the same as the cell phone. Yes, this makes no sense. You can set it up without the fake second line, but as soon as the watch is out of Bluetooth range, you can not use LTE. You might want to look for a smartwatch that's true standalone for LTE. If your phone will always be in Bluetooth range of the phone, get the Wi-Fi only.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is the Google Pixel Watch Wi-Fi and it does not need its own line. However, you'll need to keep your phone close or log in to a Wi-Fi network to stay connected.
