This isn’t a modem. You still need a modem to connect to COX. I just disabled my router built into my modem and set the modem to bridged NAT. COX still sees my modem but my house sees the new WiFi router. Plug Google WiFi into a switch port on the modem and Google will walk you through the rest of setup. Very easy.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this is compatible with all major cable providers, you just need to plug the google wifi device into your modem and it will give you wifi. Make sure if the modem that Cox gave you has wifi that it is disabled.

I have a 2,800 ft home and always had coverage problems reaching the furthest ends. I have one Google unit directly connected to my Cox router, and the remaining two evenly spaced out from that point. I have no coverage problems at all since I installed the Mesh.
