The Floaty does not add any waterproofing to the cameras. It's designed to keep it afloat while in use around water in case you lose hold of it. However, all of the cameras that this Floaty can be used with are already waterproof on their own down to 33 feet, so you can take underwater photos or videos with them whether you also use the Floaty or not.
