Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The GoPro would work with the chest harness. I'd say the head piece may work better in terms of just turning your head to capture the footage. If you are running a lot, the chest harness will probably keep the footage a bit more stable. I went on a bike ride with the chest harness. The footage was really stable, but the majority of the footage was on the handle bars, so I had to turn my body to get any footage to the left/ right side.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the chest mount would work or you could use the headstrap mount, I think you would get some GREAT in action camera shots having it mounted to your Chest or using the headstrap, the headstrap also comes with a quickclip that can be used for the Bill of your hat, attached to a belt or pants, hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Even though a chest harness or even the head/hat mount sound like a good idea I think your best option may be to clamp or mount the GoPro on the fence in line with the bases (2nd to 3rd base line) so that way it doesn't move with your body movement, you would be able to coach and watch other more important aspects of the game and not worry about where your body is pointing to catch the best shot. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The GoPro should work as well as or better than any other camcorder. Its small size and the availability of a lot of different mounts should meet your needs just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Go Pro would work, but there are some cheaper camcorder options out there that would work just fine for the same purpose.
