I have the GoPro 4 and just used it for snorkeling. I would suggest any camera that meets your needs making sure you also have the WATERPROOF case...that's the important part. As for mount, I used the FloatPro. It's a wrist strap so you don't need to hold the camera (I didn't want to have to hold the stick) all the time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.From my experience the floating handle would be the best for snorkeling. But if you want to get the best way to use a Go Pro underwater, Ocean Quest sells a scuba/snorkeling mask that has a Go Pro mount attached to it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Hero 4 Silver comes with an LED screen on the back so YOU can see exactly what IT sees so you do not miss a shot opportunity. Now, you can go with the Hero 4 Black, which has higher video resolution options, but it does NOT have a screen (available for purchase seperately, but makes the camera bigger and bulkier) has the same Still photo camera capabilities @ 12 megapixels. IMO, if you want to spend less money, and still have an absolutely fantastic picture with both video and still frame, the Hero 4 Silver is the way to go. As for accessories, the GoPro Handler is a great floating mount that is great for point and shoot, for rolling video, the GoPro Head Strap works for general movement. I hope this helps!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the GoPro Hero 4 Silver and the GoPro Handler for my scuba diving trip in Jamaica. I used both of these while snorkeling and diving and the videos came out great. The handle floats, which is nice when using the GoPro in water.
