Questionwhat's the difference between the GP4 & GP5 black? i'm not seeing any glaring differences between the 2.

- Answer It has a hardware based image stabilisation which will make video much smoother while keeping full quality video. Built in GPS for image and video tagging and speed, 2 inch touch screen, voice commands, waterproof up to 30 feet without a case, high quality stereo mic for sound that will be a lot better, and is a little smaller than it's predecessor.

Questionwhy is the go pro 5 cheaper than the go pro 4 black? shouldn't it be more since it is newer more sophisticated?

- Answer It's to help keep it competitive to Nikon's entry into the action camera category. Nikons optics will be better than Go Pro's, and the quality and performance will be better. Now that people will have a viable option to Go Pro in this category, their pathetic customer support and service will have to step it up and actually stand behind the quality of their camera. Nikon has always been at the fore-front of photography, and their customer service is outstanding. Make sure you check out the Nikon action cameras before buying what will most likely be reduced to being used as a paper weight in a year, like my Go Pro cameras.

- Answer The 5 comes with a case which is really a mount that surrounds the camera. Because it is waterproof without a case (complete separate housing unit) , it doesn't come with another separate case. There is an available case for deeper diving.

- Answer Gopro won't cover breaking the cam in any manner, best buy will. They have different tiers at best buy for protection concerning the length of the warranty.

- Answer Of course yes but you should buy "Samsung Pro +" models because of the writing/reading speeds. Alternatives * Sandisk Extreme Plus Micro SD Cards * Lexar 1800x Micro SD Cards I hope it would be helpful :)

- Answer You can plug an external mic into either the charging port or the mini-HDMI port (can't remember which) but definitely yes.

- Answer Yes they will. Only previous charging cables, batteries & housings no longer work with the GoPro 5.

- Answer It does come with a battery that can be charged while in the camera. You can use any USB charger with the cable that comes with the camera. I did purchase a second battery for backup. I just plugged the camera in as needed to charge the battery. You can buy an external battery charger to use with any USB charger you have. Don't forget to rinse the camera off with fresh tap water if you use it in salt water.

- Answer This question is hard to answer without knowing what exactly you're looking for. The Hero5 Black is an action camera that is built for general point of view shots. This mean that the camera does not have average video camera functions like zoom and long range face recognition. If you are looking for a camera that you can set and forget, then this camera might be a wise choice. With the wide angle lens you can capture both sides of the court and playback in 4K. If you are looking for a camera that will allow you to zoom in on your daughter and/or create highlight reels, then this camera is not what you are looking for. Those functions are not included in the GoPro capabilities.

- Answer I would recommend a external mic for that, as this GoPro is sealed (because of waterproof), it looks like the audio is worse than Hero4, not sure if it's because of the sealing, but audio is cr@p. I have booth, believe, external mic is the way to go if you want to record premium sound with premium image.

- Answer SanDisk works great. However I had to format several times when I first purchased. I'm sure it was just a fluke card but it now works great. Be sure to go with the 4k specific card if you want 4k videos. Makes a huge difference! Thanks

- Answer Yeap. it will cost you 50 extra dollars, but is totally worth it. i bough it for diving and you can use it up to 60 meters. That is a lot, considering that recreational divers can only go until 40 meters.

- Answer All of the mounts work fine. The underwater filters will not fit nor do any charging cables (the 5 has a different port than the previous cameras). If you have an external mic, you will need an adapter to fit the 5 (again-different port shape).
