Karma offers approximately 20 minutes flight time which is average for a midsize prosumer UAS. the small Mavic and Spark etc fly longer because they are significantly lighter which also means less stable. By the way, a lighter bird will fight the wind more and actually have a shorter “real world” flight.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Jx69, the short flight time is definitely one of the cons of the GoPro Karma. This is their second attempt at their first drone. Battery lock issue on initial release. All signs would point to yes that improved battery life would be something they improve in their next drone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go pro recommends buying a second battery, but they also said a battery with extended life would be released sometime this year. Most drones stand around 20-25 minutes battery life.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its comparable to whats on the market. Just need more batteries.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The karma battery when fully charged should last you a good 15 minutes even in windy and cold conditions...even in the sport mode...the advertised time is 25 mins...I guess that's in a temperate climate with no wind which is impossible...anyway...I have had times as less as 8 minutes on my battery..I guess there is some inherent problem with the go pro karma batteries and the grip...if you charge them and don't remove the charger completely from the battery end ...it discharges ...and yet the led status shows full charge....as all 4 of them blink....that's how I got 8 minutes once...the worst thing is that the battery would never ever be normal again...it would then always entitle you to 8 minutes of flight time...I was lucky that it was under exchange period of best buy so they have given me a replacement battery...but I fear what's gonna become of it after jan15th...same goes for the grip...apparently you have to charge the grip with the charger that came with it..if you use the USB c cable and any other wall charger...the karma grip just stops working...doesn't charge and heats up. the controller however has held up well till now...other than the fact it won't connect to any wifi network easily. ..I guess go pro is not building circuit breakers in their devices to prevent these things....go pro...if you're reading this please do so in the next iterations...inspite of all the shortcomings though the hero 6 rocks...and when it's in the sky...it's unbeatable...
