A:Answer There seems to be some variability in the way these bikes are equipped, but the Shift S1 I bought here has a combination lock attached to the seat post. You might be able to see it in the picture, it swivels around the post to secure the battery, and comes with a thin cable like they sell for laptops, etc. Someone with a decent cable cutter or small screwdriver could clip the cable or disassemble the lock, so I still wouldn't leave it unattended, but they can make it more difficult for someone to just snatch your bike/battery.
