Hello Aldo, Thank you for your inquiry. Each voltage line (24V, 40V, 60V, and 80V) has a set of tools that are only interchangeable within their own voltage platform. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers, and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable with one another. Therefore, your 40V battery will not work with this 24V tool.
