Well I am going to answer one of things for the first time ever. The 1800 psi washer works very well. For a 2 story home like mine I have found an additional tool to make it safe and easy. I am remodeling my homes exterior and it was covered in mold and algae. The Surface Maxx Professional extension wand in conjunction with the 1800 psi pressure washer offered a lot more control than working with a higher rated psi washer. The end of the wand did not jerk back 4 feet when you hit the trigger. It offers far greater control with the 1800 psi washer. With the rotating tip that came with the washer I was able to remove all of this algae and black stains from mold. Then I used some mold killing primer and some Sherwin Williams Rain Refresh paint and man it looks great. Don't ever get on a ladder again with this combo. Highly recommend it. The stucco on my house is very thick and required a 3/4 inch nap roller cover and a lot of effort to paint. The pressure washer worked great on this. Vinyl is not going to be an issue unless it has turned brittle. It could break under the pressure of the stream. Good luck and stay off ladders if you can.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The last reviewer mentioned the SurfaceMaxx Pro wand extension. I’d like to know if that reviewer or others who have tried this set up have used the 9 foot extension or the 18 foot extension or something else . I want to do the top of the second story of a cape in a narrow side yard so about 20-25 feet from the ground at the top. Being about 6’ tall I think I still need the longer extension but wonder about control and kick back, as mentioned. I’m also not sure how far the spray will go also and still clean without making a mess. With the narrow side yard I can only work from the side or up to 5 ft back. Will that make the long extension impossible or too difficult to control? I also want to avoid as much spray as possible off my property also. How far does the spray tend to go? Is there a technique to reduce it? Perhaps working at an angle?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This pressure washer will be a very useful tool for cleaning your siding on your house. The tips that come with this unit will likely only effectively reach 8 - 10' with adequate pressure. There are two tips sold at your local big box store which are pink and blue in color. These tips are meant for second story use. We recommend buying the second story kit to provide more effective coverage. Good luck with your upcoming project!
