• A:Answer It's not water proof but will handle the slip of a drink and rain..I wouldn't submerge it in a full tub of water ..hope this helps out.

• A:Answer No, unfortunately not and don't try to force it. The 2 is slightly thicker and this case is made to fit like a glove. It won't snap in properly. It looks like it will but don't do it. I have the regular iPad mini and I was so bummed when I tried to switch it.

• A:Answer I do not see how you can connect it. Its a plastic case after all. I do not think you can realistically protect any device from theft unless it strapped into some sort of box with an alarm,
