A:Answer Depends on the plan you choose. One, stays in the cloud for 7 days, the other 30 days but you can save images and/or video to your phone (preserved indefinitely) and the SD card records continuously for 5 days with a 32 GB mini SD card, and the older files get recorded over by newer once the 5 day mark passes. There is no way however, to view or retrieve the vids on the card remotely. It has to be removed and uploaded to computer manually.
There are no batteries provided, so it depends on what kind you buy. I have not played with the battery option and you cant use both batteries and plug in at the same time (like for a back up if the power goes out- but I will say my power has gone out before while traveling, and once it kicked back on, the cameras were fully functional again). I imagine you could buy rechargeable batteries but I dont know if its advisable.
