  • QuestionI have to file Federal + 2 State. How much that will be total? Sorry I am TurboTax user so not having much idea how this is working.

    Asked by Pat.

    • Answer The Deluxe (with Federal and State) Package contains the Federal 1040/1040-A/1040-EZ, along with Scheds-A/B/C/D, etc; on the CD/DVD.. With this Deluxe Pkg. you can E_File up to five (5) Federal Returns (Yourself, Family-Members, etc.) for Free. The Deluxe Pkg also allows for one (1) "Free" State Download onto your PC/Laptop, after you have completed filling out the Federal Form(s). However, this is where the "Fine-Print" comes into play. You typically have to pay $15.00 to $20.00 for any other State Program that you need to download.. For example if you live in NJ, but work in NY, then you need to file State Taxes in both States, therefore need to Download to State Programs, one of which will be Free, and the second State Program is for a Fee.. Then, if you want to E-File both States (for example, NJ & NY), you will have to pay $15.00 to $20.00 per State.. However, if you Print out the two State Forms, then you can Mail (via USPS) the 2 State Forms for the Cost of Postage.. No matter which HR-Block Package that you buy, you will most likely have to pay for second/third additional State Programs (downloaded,) and have to pay for Any and All State Programs that are "E-Filed".. So, there is the potential of an additional extra $15.00 to $60.00 charge, depending on how many "Additional" State-Programs you need to Download, as well as, whether you E-File, or USPS the State Forms.. Hope this helps..

  • QuestionIs STATE (or Federal) E-FILES Extra or are they included?? Also, is this the DESKTOP or the Online/Cloud version?

    Asked by Hammer.

    • Answer This is the 'disk' version. The download version is listed as 'digital download'. I use Homeowners/Investors Federal and State. This comes with Five federal e-files. It does come with one state version, but to e-file the state it costs extra. I am not sure if all states are the same, but NC costs $19.99. You also have the option of just printing the state and mailing it in the old fashioned way.

  • QuestionLimit on gift cards on refunds

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer I first purchased the digital download version but it would not download. I called for a refund and I was still able to use the gift card that came with it. So, I didn't think you would have to get a new card. I do know if you rebuy it at the store, you will still get a gift card as long as it's still offered.
