Q: Questionthe left side panel (outside) feels warm to the touch. Is this unusual? we just bought the refrigerator.

• A:Answer Hello there, Thanks for reaching out. We understand your concern and will be happy to provide some clarity! Your refrigerator has an automatic energy saver system that circulates warm liquid between the outer case and the inner case of the refrigerator to prevent condensation from building up on the outside of the refrigerator. The case can feel very warm, especially around the doors. Because the refrigerator contents are so cold, condensation from the warmer air around it can build up (just like a glass of cold water gets condensation), so the refrigerator has to be warmer than the room to evaporate the condensation. It will not harm the refrigerator or its contents. Congratulations on your new refrigerator and welcome to the Haier family! Mike@Haier

Q: QuestionWhat kind of routine/annual maintenance is needed with this refrigerator? Do any coils or similar parts need to be cleaned or dusted? Thanks!

The condenser coils are located in the compressor housing instead of on the back, keeping them clean and functioning optimally. This design allows for more efficient airflow. The coils will not require cleaning under normal condition since they are encased. While it is not necessary for the performance of the refrigerator, if you want to clean dust, pet hair, etc. off the floor beneath the refrigerator, an appliance brush or vacuum with a hose attachment can be used. Q: QuestionWhere is condenser coil so we can clean it?

Q: QuestionRe: scratches on door surface. Is stainless steel coated on this model? Any tips on scratch removal? I cleaned off a stain with an abrasive sponge and this left a sort of smudged scratched area. I don't want to make it worse.

• A:Answer Hello BarryJohn. It is uncoated stainless steel. Cleaners that contain Oxalic Acid, such as Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser, will remove rust, tarnish, and small blemishes. Use only the liquid cleanser (free of grit) and be sure rub in the direction of the metal grain lines with a damp soft sponge. If the stainless is scratched, using one of these cleaning methods can often help reduce the appearance of the scratches. For visible scratches, there is not an approved repair method to cover the scratches. Thanks for checking. Olga

Q: QuestionDo I understand correctly that the shelves are adjustable, but the door bins are not? I want to be able to fit 2 liter bottles of soda in a bin on the door - they need about 5" depth and 13" of height.

Q: QuestionHi, what is the difference between these 2 models: QJS15HYRFS and HRF15N3AGS? Dimensions are the same. Any difference in features or interior organizations, shelves etc?

• A:Answer Hi there - we checked the specifications for both the models you listed, and we can confirm that the biggest difference is the option for an icemaker and availability. The #QJS15HYRFS comes with the option to add an icemaker (part #IM4D), while the #HRF15N3AGS doesn't offer an icemaker. The latter is also no longer being manufactured, which could make it harder to find in stores, so we recommend checking with your retailer for availability. The #QJS15HYRFS is still being manufactured, but we still recommend checking with your retailer for time estimates on delivery, installation, etc. -- We hope this was insightful, and please reach out to us once more if we can assist you further. Q: QuestionReceived new fridge a few days ago. Freezer cannot seem to keep at freezing (zero) even on 'quick freeze'. Can the freezer/fridge be adjusted to a lower setting than the presets of 0 and 37 degrees?

To adjust the temperature, press on Temp Zone until the Refrigerator or Freezer Compartment Indicator lights up. The temperature displayed is the current temperature of that compartment. Press Temp Set to adjust the temperature. You can view these directions on page 9 of the user manual found on the Haier website. If you need additional assistance, please let us know. Q: QuestionTwo questions. 1) If the refrigerator is next to a wall and the doors only open 90 degrees, is that enough room to allow shelves be moved or removed? 2) Does this unit show the temperature of both the refrigerator section AND the freezer section?

• A:Answer Thanks so much for reaching out! The crispers can be opened all the way at 90 degrees, but to remove them, the doors must be fully opened. To answer your second question - yes, the temperature control can show the temperatures of both the refrigerator compartment and the freezer compartment. The doors and freezer drawers do not have a mechanical means to lock them in place during travel. There are quite a few after market products available that are often used to prevent children from being able to open the doors and drawers on appliances and cabinets that may serve your needs.
