- Answer Yes i would have like to see them a little bigger but they do cover the reach of a 36" window opening.

QuestionWill it get moldy inside?Some window ACs get moldy inside. I am carefully researching for a small bedroom & so far I like this model based upon the reviews so far & the price. Certainly don't want mold build-up inside the AC unit at some point. Will appreciate the response. Thanks.

- Answer Yep! We have mold in our unit :'( Been cleaning for hours but there are so many pieces it's impossible to take apart to the point where it'd be totally clean. Also, inside is styrofoam so it's very difficult to confidently clean the mold out.

QuestionWhat does the top of the AC unit look like? I ask this question bc my current AC has open air vents which is bad design when trees are above the unit. Leaves and debris collect there. I'm open to any suggestions about avoiding that problem in future.

- Answer Thank you for your question! All Haier window AC units have vents on the top as this is needed because of the condenser and the hot air that is created as the unit operates. Without those vents, the unit would overheat and become damaged. When it comes to cleaning you can use a vacuum to remove the debris from the vents, or maybe consider getting a portable AC unit. Portable AC units are indoor units and the exhaust hose simply attaches to the window kit. QuestionIn answering the mold question, Haier wrote: "If it doesn't evaporate properly, the stagnant water can lead to fungi, molds, and mildews." How do we know whether it's evaporating properly? And, if it is not evaporating properly, what causes that?

- Answer Thank you for your feedback and question! If the unit is not evaporating properly, then water will build up and you may start noticing water being sprayed into the house thru the vent. There will always be water in the back bottom of unit but it should not be a lot of water. If you notice this, then you can always remove the drain plug to remove the water. Thank you, Haier America

- Answer Thank you for your question! Yes you can set a timer. Here are the steps to turn the Timer ON and OFF. To set the Timer to turn on the air conditioner, keeping the previous settings: 1. Turn on the unit. 2. Press TIMER until Timer On indicator light illuminates. The display will show the remaining hours before the air conditioner will turn on. 3. Press the TEMP/TIME up or down arrow button to change the delay time from 1 hour to 24 hours. 5. Timer On indicator light will remain on. Unit will shut off and restart. To set the air conditioner to turn off between 1 hour and 24 hours (The air conditioner must be ON to set): 1. Press TIMER button until Timer Off indicator light illuminates. The display will show the remaining hours before the air conditioner will turn off. 2. Press the TEMP/TIME up or down arrow button to change the delay time from 1 hour to 24 hours. 3. A 5 seconds, Timer fter Off indicator light will remain on. The display will show the left time to Timer Off. Thank you, Haier America

QuestionTrying to figure out if broken is this is how the machine is supposed to work -- normally there are 2 green lights-1 for mode & 1 for speed. When in energy save, is the speed green light supposed to turn off when temp achieved? Mine keeps turning off.

QuestionIs this air conditioner quiet and small?

- Answer It is small but it's not quiet, in fact it's pretty loud. Maybe all smaller models are this loud. The compressor doesn't power down the noise either when it reaches it's level like larger model ACs do. But we all need cool/cold air and that it will do for small rooms.
