I believe they should be 6 months! We got ours when our puppy was 7 months! He’s a German shepherd

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a 16 y/o labradoodle. when he was a puppy, he had an in-ground wire system. Hadn't used that in 12+ years (several moves). Just got the Halo 3. He learned in within a month.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The recommended age is 6 months to begin training.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe the recommendation is 6-8 months. The main reason would be that your puppies neck will still be growing. I have the Halo 2, and you order them based off of your dog's neck size. There is some adjustment in the collar but not enough to go from small puppy to adult. One way around this would be to order the collar based off of what your full grown dog neck size is expected to be. You could order an adjustable replacement collar normally used off of a sports dog training system from Amazon. This would attach to the Halo & have more adjustments in it, then you could start training your puppy sooner.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Old enough to be trained. Training was pretty easy and it took about a week to train our pups.
