I would call the local shop. Talking to one of the folks near me, they do. But- make sure your parts work together. Correct motherboard socket for your processor, correct RAM for the mobo, etc. I would go in and talk to them, easiest way to get a feel for local shops capabilities.

So, if they say they cannot, its nothing personal, just that they aren't able to currently complete that job. I know at my store, I'm happy to make a new build happen, as I am one of the advanced repair agents. As the other answer suggest, it may cost up to $200 and maybe even more if you pay for each component separately, but the labor for all installations is covered under the My Best Buy Total plan,$179 for a new membership or if your Total Tech account was current then it was already switched over and is still included. It comes with a bunch of other benefits as well, enough that even though I'm the guy back there doing the repairs and installations, I pay for the service. I would very highly suggest going the membership route as it also has built it protection for most everything you buy in store or online. Just make sure you have it on the same transaction or before purchasing any other devices. As far as prebuilts go, they have their place and I wouldn't hate on anyone that bought one, however, it has been my experience that if you make an appointment with an in-store agent, sit down with him or her and explain your needs and use habits then we can normally find better quality parts with higher performance at the same price or cheaper. The PC you put together will be hand assembled by one person and more likely than not the builder will be someone who cares much more and therefore can create a wonderful computer with pride that's for you and not a cookie cutter system sold a million times over.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.let’s say you buy a PC you think it’s already built, but it’s not Bill. It’s a case. Can I go and switch it out?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but you might as well buy an assembled PC, because they charge you for the installation. Just installing more memory into my laptop (which took about 20 minutes for the 1 part) cost me about $40.
