A:AnswerHi Christine. Thanks for your great question. If you provided the Wi-fi card upgrade, it should just be $39 for us to install it and verify everything is up and running with you. To get started, please visit www.geeksquad.com/schedule to set up a free consultation at your local Best Buy.
A:AnswerWe should be able to get your SSD and RAM installed. Please visit www.geeksquad.com/schedule to set up a free consultation at your local Best Buy.
A:AnswerWe appreciate you taking the time to ask this question. Blue screens are never ideal, and it sounds like you need your computer up and running right away. You can visit us online at www.geeksquad.com/schedule to schedule a time to speak with an Agent at the store about this. The pricing may vary depending in the services performed, so the Agent should be able to go over that at the store.
A:AnswerIf you have the geek squad plan it will be free to instal
They even set a partition so me and my son have our own working spaces. Great service, Fast.
A:AnswerWe may be able to do that, but we would want to take a closer look at your PC first. You can visit us online at www.geeksquad.com/schedule to schedule a time to speak with an Agent at the store about this.
A:AnswerUsually something like that will require a full motherboard replacement, but we'd be happy to check it out to see what's possible. Please head over to www.geeksquad.com/schedule to set up a reservation to visit us for a free consultation.
A:AnswerIn most cases, this isn't a service that is offered. Some of our locations do offer specialty installations. You can always try calling your local store or schedule a free consultation to go over the specifics for what you are looking to do with your vehicle make and model, here: http://bby.me/uf6al .
A:AnswerHello JJS369 – The timing on an upgrade will depend on the current workload in the store. In some cases we’ll be able to get it done same-day, but sometimes we may need check the computer in for a day or two to finish the work. Please call your local store and ask to speak with the Geek Squad. They can give you an idea of their current turn time.
A:AnswerThey can “potentially” in their own words. My Geek Squad told me it would be $300-$400 for 1 NVME M.2 SSD install.
Price breakdown;
1. Diagnostics need to be run $100
2.Not a member but buy in is $200 a year.
3. Taking apart my laptop and putting it in which was $40 as advertised.
4. Clone operating system and anything else $100
5. Run a diagnostics. Another $100
6. It would void warranty and also may not work depending on the layout of the computer inside.
Just save your money like I will be and Youtube it and an SSD cloner off amazon for a fraction of the price. $50-$200.
A:AnswerIf you are going to install Windows, yes. Otherwise it is not necessary since your computer is going to read the disk anyway. In case you are going to use that disk as data, there is no problem.
A:AnswerI didn't know you needed one for pickup and I just showed up. As soon as they finished with the customer they were working with they took care of me! Waited just a few minutes!
A:AnswerI don’t know if they are able, but not done when I took my laptop in for SSD upgrade. I fact I received my device back with corrupted bios, tech tried to imply it was a known issue with HP Sprectre 360.
