“How does this speaker compare to the Onyx 4. I love the Onyx 4 especially for the bass, but they are now failing. Do these new Onyx pair with the HK Connect App to listen in stereo sound? If so, anyone know the ease of use? Thanks!”

• To my knowledge I haven’t found any app support associated with my Onyx 7. Only hardware buttons and a manual, and while two of the Onyx 7s can be paired together, it’s a manual process using the speaker’s buttons.

While our HK Onyx Studio 4 is compatible with the HK Connect App for stereo setup, our HK Onyx 7 has a Wireless Sound feature which allows you to connect two Onyx Studio 7 speakers together for a more powerful listening experience that doesn't need an app. You cannot connect the Onyx Studio 7 to other Onyx Studio speakers such as the Onyx Studio 6, 5 and 4.
