The TV runs Android TV OS so you can easily download some simple web browsers to surf the web or you can find info to side car load browsers like Firefox on to the TV. I saw apps that allow you to cast to the TV, but I didn't buy the TV for that function so I don't know how well it works.

At the end of the day, I wound up hooking my computer up to this TV and don't even use the smart function. I own a Samsung, Roku and now a Hisense and Samsung is the only smart TV that has a decent browser built in. Use a wires keyboard and mouse hooked up to your TV to use the Samsung browser easier. If you are an American that use standard apps like Netflix or HBO Max then this TV is just as good or bad as any Smart TV. However, it is still a good sounding smart TV and is generally cheaper than the Samsung or LG TV's I just bought a 50 inch Hisense for 290 dollars....catch a good sale and it's a really good bargain.
