It's an Android TV so there's a very good chance all of the apps you'd use on the FLex box can be downloaded and used straight from the set. But if there happen to be apps on the Flex box you can't get on the TV, or you just like the layout the Flex box gives you more, the TV has 4 HDMI inputs, plenty of space to include this box plus other devices.
