Hisense does not pay big money to BestBuy for primo product placement like LG, Samsung, Sony. This saves a lot of money from a marketing standpoint that can then be passed on to the consumer. I noticed a bit of eye roll when I said the U8H was as close to OLED quality without being OLED; but I don’t blame them, they’re just doing their jobs and trying to sell a higher price product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am a Best Buy Advisor. I highly recommend Hisense. Here is the big secret. Research who builds Insignia and Fire TV's for Best Buy. (Hint...Company name starts with H). I personally own a 50" and am saving for a U8H 65". They rock! So to answer your question. They don't display many Hisense and should (in my opinion). Sony and LG put reps in store and simply market in the USA more agressively.

While in-person viewing can be helpful, it can also be confusing. I spent time with Internet searches for Reviews, looked to see what customers said, and looked at technical specs/analysis. Store employees may have bias, may be bonus incentivized or just be ignorant. This is not a Brand I had been familiar with, hence my extra do-diligence! I was convinced that buying Sony was the best, but was gifted with a Samsung, that finally suffered from ‘screen rot’. This TV is as good as it gets without spending $2,0000. And no one makes a smart TV with better or easier or more flexible user interface. Believe me, THAT is a huge advantage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I got the u8h 2 months ago and I am really disappointed. I dont even know what all the hype is about. I did try the serting and watched videos and tried to mess with it but it gives out an orange hue on everything. It jutters when watching anything on netflix, hulu, tv, its too noticeable. I had an old Samsung 55 inch and i love the samsung picture cors way better. The only props i can give is the blacks are way better and it gets really bright if you need it to. So maybe the average consumer doesnt want to be medding with setting for hours on end yo try to get a good picture and keep having yo change settings based on watchinh hdr, sd, video games.
