Hi,we were wondering the same question as our 55in LG just went out. Well, we have had the H9G 65inch for one week now. TV is exactly 8 ft from couch . When we first started watching ,we just went wow. This may be too much TV. But after a few days,we love it! Picture is amazing . I honestly think 65 inches is the largest TV for only being 8ft viewing distance though. Highly recommend this TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've been researching that for the past few days because I have a 6-yr old 55" Samsung that I'm about to replace with a Hisense H9G. I was going to wait for the 55H9G which is not available yet. After reading a number of articles about screen size vs viewing distance, I've decided to get the 65H9G. My viewing distance is also about 8 ft. Apparently, you can sit closer to a 4K TV than with previous formats. Here is just one of the articles I've read and it shows that the proper viewing distance for a 65 in 4K TV is between 5 and 8 ft. https://www.avu.ca/video/perfecting-proximity-finding-optimal-tv-viewing-distance/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The general rule is the viewing distance should be 1.5x the screen size. So, 65 + 32.5 = 97.5".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I view this TV at about 9 feet and it's incredible.
