If I sit 8 feet away from my tv, is the 65 inch too big? null

Hi,we were wondering the same question as our 55in LG just went out. Well, we have had the H9G 65inch for one week now. TV is exactly 8 ft from couch . When we first started watching ,we just went wow. This may be too much TV. But after a few days,we love it! Picture is amazing . I honestly think 65 inches is the largest TV for only being 8ft viewing distance though. Highly recommend this TV.

I've been researching that for the past few days because I have a 6-yr old 55" Samsung that I'm about to replace with a Hisense H9G. I was going to wait for the 55H9G which is not available yet. After reading a number of articles about screen size vs viewing distance, I've decided to get the 65H9G. My viewing distance is also about 8 ft. Apparently, you can sit closer to a 4K TV than with previous formats. Here is just one of the articles I've read and it shows that the proper viewing distance for a 65 in 4K TV is between 5 and 8 ft. https://www.avu.ca/video/perfecting-proximity-finding-optimal-tv-viewing-distance/

The general rule is the viewing distance should be 1.5x the screen size. So, 65 + 32.5 = 97.5".

I view this TV at about 9 feet and it's incredible.
