“Where does this new U7N stand in comparison to the old-ish U8K, I was gonna grab the U8K but doesn't seem to be available through best buy anymore, and the newer U8N is a tad too expensive. Will this U7N be work it over the older U8K?”

U8K has better brightness and contrast over the U7N, and will likely outperform it due to the K receiving software and firmware updates that bring it close to the U8N . The U7N cannot match the U8K in brightness and contrast. the 75" version of both sets might have similar contrast and the U7N has a newer control set for better performance than the 8K or 7K.

The U8N is a continuation of last year’s model U8K, which has 3000-nit peak brightness, whereas the U7N is 1500-nit peak brightness. Another difference is that the U8N has 1000 local dimming zones and the U7N has 500 local dimming zones.
