They know they have a popular TV and are gouging us just like the car dealers were doing last year. Sad when companies get so greedy. I was going to get one too, but not now
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hisense like some other tv manufacturers announce high prices prior to release and then drop them right after first shipment. The 75” is already down to $1599 at Best Buy which is several hundred dollars below announced price and is now only $200 more than the U8H price. This is the pricing as of 07/12/2023.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You are correct regarding the "Price Gouging." But, there is no doubt the U8K is NOT going to be as "popular" as the U8H for two reasons. First, the U8H won all the competitions in 2022 regarding "Value TV" sets. The U8H was always the "Brightest" in the competitions. And all the TV sets in that price range had a TV panel using the "8-Bit plus FRC" type of panel. It is NOT like that in 2023. In 2023, the U8K is losing all the competitions. The U8K is NOT the "Brightest" of the TV sets in that price range. For example, TCL offers a less expensive TV that has a TV panel using a far more advanced "True 10-Bit" type of panel. Second, the U8K simply is not worthy to be selling at that price point. The U8K doesn't even let you have two consoles hooked up at the same time, because its eArc uses one of the two HDMI 2.1 inputs. That is DUMB. The only company that seems to understand that eArc needs to be on a different input is TCL.
