Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This question is very old, but on the off chance someone stumbles across it…. The Homedics Salt N’ Soak footbath is made to be used with epsom salt. It’s wonderful. I’ve had it for a year and just bought one as a gift for my sister this Christmas. It even comes with a detachment that you open and fill with salts. I have no clue if they are safe in other foot spas, but if anyone is looking for a recommendation on one that is and just a great foot bath in general I suggest that one. 3 heating settings, vibration, bubble/jet setting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I called the 800 number and their response was MAYBE it would damage unit
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can't use epson salt with ANY water foot massage unit. The reason is because after the water evaporates, the salt crystallizes, and clogs the holes where the bubbles rise. Unless you thoroughly rinse and clean afterwards, especially the holes where the bubbles rise, you will damage the product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Look at the Homedics foot bath model # FB-525H, it will take epsom salts but not other items like oils or soaps
