“How is this model different than the Honeywell 1104? The manufacturer site does not list an 1114”

• The 1104 model weight is different, it weighs 55.8 lbs. Also the 1104 model comes with a standard fire res. insulation, gold compression latches, and 24 hours waterproof certification. The 1114 model weighs 41.9 lbs, 25% lighter fire res. insulation, silver compression latches, and comes with a 100 hours waterproof certification.

• I asked this question to Honeywell's support folks. Their answer was that it is basically the same as the 1104, but lighter. It is an upgrade from 1104. I bought it and it seems just as they said. The included User Guide also mentions a model, 1118, which seems to be an upgrade for the 1108. It looks like a good product. Hope I'll never need to test it!
