Hi Lee! There are a couple reasons why the Honeywell Warm Moisture Humidifier might be acting this way. The first reason is there isn't enough water in the tank. If that is the case, simply refill the tank. Another reason is that after refilling, you didn't go through the proper reset procedure. It is recommended that you wait 15 minutes before using the humidifier after refilling with fresh water. Please try again later.When the water in the reservoir runs out the humidifier shuts off automatically and turns off the green light and turns on the orange you to alert you to refill the container. I use mine in the first position (low) and I am able to get 24 hours of use, so I just have to refill it once a day.
