No, you definitely need venting! A window or door! My kids close their doors and it’s like a good fan, great fan, but it puts moisture into the hot air which make it feel like we are in Louisiana or Mississippi! So if you just want fan buy a fan do not buy if you cannot vent! I’d does not need a hose, you need to place it in front of a window or door to expel the hot moisture in the air
