“How long does this take to start working? I just started using this, filled it up with water following the instructions and plugged it in. Turned the knob to highest setting and the light is green. It’s been sitting for several minutes but no mist yet.”

Minerals within tap water can sometimes interfere with the workings of humidifiers and vaporizers. Don't quote me, but that is what I was told. When I filled my humidifier with distilled water and turned it on, it started misting within a few seconds.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Be sure to check that the unit is sitting squarely on the base. I had a similar experience, however once I jiggled the top to the bottom so that it fit squarely, the unit came on within 5-10 seconds.
