Questiondoes it work off a battery my girl friends current thermostat only has four wires an d does no have a c wire

- Answer I'm not sure, but device i'm using is standart modem / wifi router provided by Comcast so i'm guessing any wireless device will do it.

QuestionI see it supports Multizone, however not really specific on stages. How many stages of heat and cooling does it support? I need up to 4 stages of heat and 2 stages of cooling.

- Answer Hi Savvyshopper! The Honeywell - Lyric™ T5 Wi-Fi Thermostat can control 3 stages of heat and 2 stages of cooling in a heat pump application. In a conventional system it can control 2 stages of heat and 2 stages of cooling. QuestionCan this thermostat switch from gas heat to electric AC? In virginia we may have a hot day where AC is needed then it gets cold enough at night to need heat. Currently we forget to switch it at night and wake up freezing.

- Answer Hi Brandon! The Lyric T5 Wi-Fi thermostat does have an Auto Changeover feature allowing the thermostat to switch between heating and cooling based on your desired set points. This can be enabled in the Device Setup. To access the Device Setup press and hold Menu device Device Setup appears. Select Device Setup then press the right arrow until function 300 Auto Changeover appears, press edit, press the arrow to change the option from Off to On, press Done to save, and press back twice to return to the main screen. After returning to the main screen press mode until Auto appears above Mode, Auto Chng. On will also appear in the upper right hand corner. Hope this helps!

QuestionI want a thermostat that I can use with my central air unit since my heating system is separate and has a thermostat through my alarm system. Will this work?

- Answer Hey Gadgetlady88! Yes, this thermostat can control AC only if you can get a common (C-wire) to the thermostat to power it. Thank you!

QuestionHow do you receive a "Smart Alert" from the Honeywell RCHT8610WF2006 thermostat. Is it an Email or a notification through the Lyric app? I want to monitor the temp at our cottage... Thanks

- Answer It is set up as a push notification on your phone from the app. You tap the three bars icon in the top left corner of the Lyric app, then click "Alerts and Notifications" and under "Thermostat Alerts" choose the High/Low Temperature and tap the Indoor Temperature Alert to enable it and choose your low and high temp alerts.

QuestionI just tried installing an Ocobee 3 light and discovered it would not handle the fresh air controls on my system. Will this unit handle that feature? Live in Houston and dealing with humidity is a must.U1 wires in photo below Thanks

- Answer Hey Charlieneedshelp1! The T5 thermostat does not support any indoor air quality units such as dehumidifiers or fresh air ventilation equipment. Honeywell does not have a retail thermostat that can accommodate that equipment. We do have models available through a local contractor. - Answer Hi Thermo! Unfortunately I would need a little more information on the wiring and system type to determine this, however the TH8110R is a RedLink thermostat therefor you may have to go with another RedLink thermostat due to wiring fed to the thermostat.

- Answer We have two thermostats for their respective HVAC systems. We control each one independently. But if you have 2 for 1 HVAC system I'm not sure...but it may bifurcate the temps per your setting up stairs and down stairs.

- Answer If configured properly, I'm sure it will. We have installed 19 of these (Honeywell Wi-Fi 7-Day Programmable Thermostat (RTH6580WF), Requires C Wire, Works with Alexa) at our church and they work extremely well from the cell phone app. The RTH6580WF are now compatible with the Echo dot, but we have not yet learned that skill. With two of these T5's at home, they work amazing with the Echo dot and the phone app. They even have geo-fencing option to detect when you get to be within a certain radius or when you leave the building.

- Answer Not hard at all. It allows you to put in your bed time and wake time and what temps you want to use during those time. You enter your address and it automatically sets up the geo-fencing so your temps are set while away. It also has a vacation setting to save money and energy while you are away.
