I had the same question when researching this model and couldn't figure out how TWO tanks, clean and dirty, could also have shampoo and just rinse water. The two previous answers didn't help me any, maybe because they are already aware of how it works, and don't understand what we don't understand! The Owner's Manual online answered the question for me-- THE CLEAN TANK IS DUAL CHAMBERED, one chamber for shampoo, the other for the water, and the machine releases shampoo into the water coming out if the selector dial is set to wash, and doesn't if it is set to rinse! Why this is not clearer in any of the machine descriptions, or why they just don't say there are three different tanks is beyond me! Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My solution is leaking into the water if I select rinse it is again rinsing with solution and water
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi! The cleaners that offer the "rinse" feature such as the Power Scrub Deluxe, have a dual tank system. Meaning there are two separate compartments in one tank. One for the solution and the other for the water. When the wash feature is selected, both water and solution will dispense. If interested in just rinsing, select the "rinse" feature and the solution side of the tank valve closes so only water is being dispensed. Hope this helps! -Giselle, Hoover Customer Care
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My old Hoover was purchased when you had to put the cleaning solution into the clean water tank. If you wanted to rinse with water alone, you either had to use up the soapy water or dump it out before rinsing and refilling the tank with water only. I recently purchased the Hoover FH50150 and am very happy with my purchase. This model allows you to keep the cleaning solution separate so you can switch to rinse with water only before continuing on to shampoo another area. The plus to adding solution directly to the clean water tank is that you control the cleaning solution to water ratio. You could use less product to clean areas that have little foot traffic or mix for a stronger cleaning solution for high traffic/problem areas.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This model has a clean water tank and a cleaning solution resevoir. If you mix the water with the solution into the clean water tank, then you would be 'rinsing' with soapy water. The automatic mixing of the water with the cleaning solution works well. I am not sure why you would want to mix into the clean water tank? To rinse with clean water, the water tank must contain only clean water....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Separate chambers on the tank. Simply turn knob to select either clean water or solution mix.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually you don't mix it. Solution will mix with the rinse water to wash when you have it at wash. Mixes the right dosage. Once you switch to rinse it's heated rinse. Superb. Just rinse.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do not have to mix with this machine. There is a larger tank for putting clean, hot water into and a smaller tank for putting cleaning solution into. This allows for the rinse function to isolate off the solution supply and only deliver hot water to assist in getting the solution back out of the carpet on your second "wet" pass over the carpet. Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you are correct. However, if you were to simply refill it with plain water, maybe rinse it, it would be back to a plain water rinse with no soap.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are 2 chambers, one for water and one for cleaning solution. if you put the cleaner in with the water the rinse function seizes to exist as all your liquid you are using will have soap.
