QuestionI used my Smart cleaner for the first time. I went through a whole tank of water but only sucked up 1/4 into bottom tank. Is that normal? I felt like my carpet was very damp after.

- Answer Does not sound normal. Did you go over the area several times? Also there is a dry only option that helps to dry the carpet. The carpet should be damp when done but not soaked.

QuestionWhere can I find a replacement belt....as mine now has a screaming noise of the belt not catching when i open up the side you can see the feet on the belt have worn thin, so i need a new belt.

- Answer Will have to contact the number in your manual. The customer service tech will help and send you a replacement. Seems like the belts are always breaking on every model I've had. They usually wave any fees as long as its 2 years old or less. But reach out to them,as they will more than likely get you going for free.

QuestionI have only used my smart wash machine 5 times and the “wash” light doesn’t come on any longer. What problem would this be? It still pushes out water and sucks up the water but when you push the machine forward the light just doesn’t come on.

QuestionIt is very frustrating that every time you pull back on the Hoover smartwash it clicks over to dry it's only normal that you pull back when using a vacuuming type of motion. The carpet isn't even good and wet and it' switches to dry

- Answer there is a hose port on the front of machine by the agitator. Press the hose in tightly . To remove the hose press trigger on tool to make sure all fluid is gone. press button on end of hose and pull out.make sure to close the port door. t

- Answer That is what happened to me yesterday, How do I fixed it? I took the tank that is below the clean water tank and make sure it was properly closed and properly fit in the machine. It worked.

- Answer Yes the manual actually recommends doing a water only rinse after you clean the carpet to get rid of remaining cleaning solution

QuestionCan this be used on hard wood floors too. Can it clean a matress easier than a hand held spot bot type cleaner I only have one carpet and don't want to put that much money into something with such a limited purpose.

- Answer Thank you for your question! SmartWash+ is not intended for use on hard floors, but it does come with a hose and upholstery tool so you can clean stairs and upholstery easily. I would also recommend checking out the Hoover Spotless GO which is a cordless hand held spot cleaner, however if your carpet is a large carpet, SmartWash is better suited for your needs.
