QuestionWhat is the best solution/way to pretreat high traffic areas? Should the pretreat wand spray, or just a stream? Mine shoots out a stream. I tried it on a stain and it works, but I can see lines now.

- Answer Hello Coopsmom, The pretreat feature on this SmartWash is supposed to be a stream and not a spray. For high traffic areas we would recommend our Hoover Oxy Carpet Cleaner and our Hoover Oxy Spot Chaser. Thanks! Matt - Hoover Team

QuestionCan you tell me how long the tool is ? The picture shows it being used on the stairs. Is it able to do all the stairs without moving the machine. Also, what is the difference in the length of the tool in comparison to the teal colored Smartwash? Thanks

- Answer I used it for a sofa and for fabric chairs, it worked great. You spray the shampoo and the tool sucks it back out. Great pleasure to watch how dirty the water comes out.

QuestionDo you have to remove all the furniture to clean the carpet? Some pieces are too heavy to move.

- Answer I have cleaned a bit in my apartment without moving any of the big pieces yet. The only true recommendation that is made is that you vacuum any area you want to clean first before using the carpet cleaner.

QuestionWhen using the hose and hand tool do the brush rolls stop? The machine we have currently burned the carpet because as I was cleaning the couch the brush roll was continuously spinning in one spot.

QuestionAfter opening and setting up, I noticed the cleaning solution had leaked out the bottom of the machine all over my wood floor where I had assembled it. It's brand new. Any ideas as to why it would be doing this and how to fix it?
