The "dirt cup" is the entire clear plastic collection assembly on the vacuum cleaner. As per packaged instructions, you press the top dirt cup release button, pivot the cup, and lift the entire assembly out. Then, when holding the cup closely over a trash receptacle, open the bottom of the dirt cup by pushing the lower dirt cup door release lever. After emptying it, close the dirt cup door by pressing it firmly to secure at the front where the lever is. Then place the closed bottom of the dirt cup into the vacuum body first. Pivot the dirt cup and press frimly until it locks into place. Note: I have to run a paper-cloth- covered ruler up into and around in the collection assembly to get out all of the pet dander and hair since it won't fall out on its own. If your latching mechanism(s) is\are broken, you will have to arrange for repairs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Push the little gray button on the top of the dirt holder. It should release the entire dirt tube, then push the small button on the bottom of the tube to get the flap to open. Make sure it over the trash ;)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When you pull out the center capsule that golds filter and dirt etc. The very bottom theres a clip/ button to push it will open the bottom plastic piece which will allow the dirt to fall out the bottome completly
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Find the lever and pull it, to unlock the dirt.cup, then pull the cup out but be careful with the dust not to spill it...Don't empty on Carpet use a garbage bag under it..Good luck

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There should be a little gray tab/button on the top of the canister near the body of the vacuum, just press the button and tip the canister toward you and it should come right out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a push release on the front or back of the can. This will release the bottom plate. Be sure to hold it down inside the garbage sack so you do not end up with a pile on the floor. This is a nice feature so you do not have to dump the can upside down which is harder to keep the waste from scattering around.
