Air actually seems to come out from cord return area. Right above the filter and two models I owned 1 a year and this one less then a week never really thought it was hotter then my previous vac.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Larry, There's no cause for alarm. That's the exhaust doing it's job. If the the performance indicator starts turning red, that means something is impeding airflow. This could cause the motor to start overheating. Check your filters and hoses for clogs and clean them if you notice this and your vacuum should run perfectly. Hope this helps! --John, Customer Care
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too was both amazed (and a bit disgusted) with the quantity of filth pulled from our professionally cleaned twice a year carpeting. Our last vacuum was a Kirby that we finally sold because of its apparent low air filtering ability. I find that the new Hoover does not run any hotter than the Kirby, but if you have concerns you should call Hoover's customer service line to discuss the issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same vacuum. Mine was doing the same thing. However I used mine four times and it started to make weird noises and have poor suction. I have since bought a Dyson on sale at Best Buy to replace it. I hated my Hoover.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, I used for several time and long run, i didn't feel hot. no worries you can trust the product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This one does seem to run warm, but it's also important to pull the cord out all the way when using. This is a bit inconvenient, but it's recommended in the instructions. If you leave the cord in, it will really heat up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That's been my experience. The cord gets warm, and the air is hot. But no problems thus far.
