QuestionI keep track of expenses on a spread sheet. Does this have a program built in or does it support free software available on line? Not looking to keep paying every few months or year for an advanced program as my spread sheets are very simple addition.

- Answer While this laptop does not have a built in spreadsheet program other than a trial version of Excel, there are apps in the Microsoft Store that can be used for simple spreadsheets. Also, there are web-based solutions available. If you wish to download a solution that is not available in the Microsoft Store, you'll need to switch the operating system to Windows 10 Home, which you can do for free from the laptop.

- Answer It should run SPSS fine, it's not a fast processor but it should be enough. You should definitely add memory --add 8 GB for about $35. The memory upgrade is easy. Back comes off with 6 screws (4 are hidden under the thin rubber pads.) Since it comes with SSD, you may be able to go into virtual memory settings and configure a minimum of 8 gb of that disk to virtual memory. I'm not sure that will work well, you'd have to test it, but it wouldn't hurt to try. Probably you'll want to add ram though. Also, you'll almost certainly have to switch the machine out of S mode to install SPSS. That is easy to do during initial configuration or later.

- Answer No. For gaming you will want a more powerful processor, more RAM, a larger hard drive or SSD, and a more powerful graphics processor. Best Buy has a gaming laptop made by CyberPowerPC for $749, with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, a 256 Gb SSD, a 2 Tb hard drive, and a good graphics processor, which would be a very nice gaming laptop. Take a look at it online.

- Answer I downloaded magic the gathering's arena and mtgo and they both worked well, with out a slowdown. If the file size isn't too huge, then I don't see why those games would effect the laptops speed or functionality.

- Answer The only main difference is the CPU for either system, The AMD or Intel. Both are lower end ships but I enjoy AMD due to some of the architecture going to the embedded GPU design. Offering a slight bonus to graphic powered software. Beyond that they are quite similar. - Answer Without getting into specifics, on benchmark the amd is rated at 3254 and the i3 (10th gen) is rated at 5237. According ti HP this is negligible for the average user. I have both edge and firefox open, with several tabs open, stream videos, and the system works fine. If anything, you need to add more ram because 4 gigs is just not enough.....
