• Hi Joseph, thank you for the question. As presented, the 14-fq0033dx laptop with Windows 11 in S Mode only allows the Edge Browser. However, you can convert the system to Windows 11 Home (no S Mode) and use the browser of your choice. The conversion is free and simple, but not reversible.

• The reply from HP is mostly correct. The process of leaving S Mode is, however actually, reversible. It is a common misconception that it itsn't. This may be because reversing back into S Mode involves resetting a computer back to factory settings which, of course, deletes everything you have added to the computer (all installed programs as well as all stored data), so people are told that it is an irreversible process to protect them from themselves.
