The sound on this laptop is adequate in my opinion. It is not super loud at the max setting but is loud enough if you are listening in a quiet room.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did purchase this laptop and love everything about it... BUT I do find the volume level to be barely sufficient, especially compared to my Lenovo Chromebook.. I did not want to have to wear headphones :(
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is really a judgment call; it's like asking, "is it too heavy?" Personally, I have owned four laptops and never found the speakers sufficient. Either use headphones, or, if you can, a separate set of external speakers.

Opinion can vary and often for better sound it is recommended to use headphones. Without doing an in-person demo, it would be hard to tell if it suits your specific needs.
