No, this laptop does not meet the system requirements to play Sims 4.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've been playing TS4 on this for a year, but I don't recommend it at all. The reason is that it barely scrapes the *minimum* system requirements. The Sims 4 requires 4 gigabytes of RAM, a 3.3 GHz Intel Core i3-3220 processor, and 25 gigabytes of free space for custom content (CC), tray files (data about your worlds, households, and Sims), and mods. The Celeron is a cheap, low-end processor mostly found in budget laptops like this. They usually have two cores and threads, which puts more limitations on their capabilities and what they can do. On the other hand, i3 processors have the same number of cores, but they include 4 threads. They do this with hyperthreading, a process which makes the computer run faster and multitask better. 4 gigabytes of RAM is considered insufficient for most activities today. It's made for light activities such as web browsing, not for games. This laptop also comes with 64 gigabytes of eMMC storage, which is also considered insufficient. It doesn't help that it's cut down to only around 30 GB when including system files. The game takes up 21 GB of space. With this computer's space, this may seem like enough, but if you plan on buying and installing DLC, this will quickly balloon and you may not have any free space for your tray files, custom content, or game updates that are required to play. Also, you need the EA app to download the game itself, and that itself takes up even more space, plus if you have another browser installed. eMMC storage also tends to be much slower than SDD storage. It's basically an SD card soldered to the motherboard, so you're unable to replace it. So basically, if you want to play The Sims 4, get a computer with a good mid-range processor, one that doesn't have an eMMC drive, and one with at least 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage if you're downloading a ton of CC. If you're focused on custom content, I recommend you buy a large USB drive just to install the game (and make regular backups of your entire Sims 4 folder).
