• Thank you for the question. The Celeron processor in the 14-dq0032dx will support up to 8GB RAM. We recommend using a certified technician if you intend to switch out the RAM. All of the recommend ancillary products will work with this laptop.

• 16GB DDR4 Sodimm Ram works in this laptop just fine Just remove the 4GB stick and replace with new ram. It's a single slot if I recall.
