It does not, as long as you don't damage other parts of the laptop while making the swap. Also, the parts that you upgrade will not be covered under the warranty.

Please try again later.It's as HP posted in their answer, but SAVE ANY PARTS YOU REMOVE, and if you need to return it for warranty, put everything back just like you bought it. That makes it easier on the tech who is looking at it, and sometimes a warranty claim will result in a replacement machine, which means that you would lose everything non-factory you left in the machine.

But Hp can refuse..What you can do it send an email and see what HP says.. if they say it is fine, you have something to fall back to.. If they say itis not covered, then it is grey area.. you have to take ur chances.
