• Thank you for the question. The processor in the HP 15-fd0107dx supports up to three displays, so you can connect two external monitors plus use the laptop's display. Note that the laptop has one HDMI port, and the USB Type C (5Gbps) port does not support displays, so you'll need to use a hub or adapter to connect one of the external monitors.

• The laptop can be open or closed, but since the default setting is that the computer is asleep when the lid is closed, that has to be changed before closing the lid. This is most easily accessed by clicking on the battery icon in the Taskbar (far right).
