Hi dachlmir, and thank you for asking the question. I'm not sure where on the Intel website you saw that the processor in this computer runs at 1.7 GHz, because I looked up the specs for the processor on Intel's website, and it says that it runs at 2.8 GHz.

The Intel® Core™ i7-1255U processor that comes with this Laptop has 10 cores (2P-cores with a Base Frequency of 1.7 GHz and Max Turbo Frequency of 4.7 GHz + 8E-cores with a Base Frequency of 1.2 GHz and Max Turbo Frequency of 3.5 GHz). CPUs do not always need to run at their maximum frequency. Some programs depend more on memory to run smoothly, while others are CPU-intensive. Intel® Turbo Boost Technology is an energy-efficient solution to this imbalance: it lets the CPU run at its base clock speed when handling light workloads, then jump to a higher clock speed for heavy workloads. 12th Gen Intel® Core™ Mobile Processors SKU Comparison—U Series/15W: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/docs/processors/core/12th-gen-core-mobile-processors-brief.html For detailed information about the Intel® Core™ i7-1255U processor, visit: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/226259/intel-core-i7-1255u-processor-12m-cache-up-to-4-70-ghz.html Thank you for choosing Intel!
