As long as you get the appropriate version of auto cad this machine will work. I have used mine to operate several diffent cad softwares. You may fine the graphics card is a bit slow if trying to render 3D models quickly. Otherwise should be a problem.

Recommended: 4 GB GPU with 106 GB/s Bandwidth and DirectX 12 compliant. DirectX 12 with Feature Level 12_0 is required for Shaded(Fast) and Shaded with edges(Fast) visual styles. Please be sure to use the latest video card manufacturer drivers from their website. According the AutoCAD you are recommended to have a dedicated Graphics Processing card Unit.
