You can download Openoffice which is free and has compatible versions of word, excel, powerpoint, etc. Basically everything that is on MS Office is in OpenOffice but free!

Unless you have specifically bought a computer where you have options to add that in it will not have a working Microsoft Office installed on it. The files for Office are pre-installed on most all computers but then you have to purchase and activate it. I would suggest the regular Microsoft Home and Student version over Office 365. All Office 365 versions are one year subscriptions. The regular $125 Home and Student versions are perpetual licenses that stay with the computer and can be moved to another computer if needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most new Windows computers come with a trial version of Microsoft Office 365, which you can use for free for about 30 days. After that time period, if you wish to continue to use those programs (apps) you mentioned in your question, you will have to pay for Microsoft Office 365 and continue to pay for it every year (!). As an alternative, you can purchase Microsoft Office 365 Home & Student (you don't have to be a student) and use it forever. It costs about $50 more than the one year version. Better deal in my opinion.
