You must take off the back panel. Like with most slim laptops there is no removeable battery. You should watch a video on youtube on how to do this if unsure. But unplug and turn off the laptip. Then you romove all the black phillips head screws from the bottom of the laptop. Then pull the corners of the rubber feet on the touch pad side of the conputer and remove the two silver screws there. Then pull off the intire rubber foot stirp on the hinge side and remove all four of those screws. Then use a pin to open you optical drive door and remove the plastic cover and close the drive to gain access to the two wide headed screws and remove them. Then use something like a plastic pick or credit card to seperate the plastic snaps around the keyboard and touchpad. Then the bottom plastic will pop off giving you access to the battery. Carfully remove the plug and screws and take out the battery.
