- Answer You will want to look at the system requirements from the developer's website for any software you would like to use and make sure that the computer you would like to buy meets the requirements for the settings you want to use. Updates can change these requirements and that can affect the settings you might want to use it on or prevent you from using the software at all. Operating System: 64-bit Windows 11 or 10 version 1809 or above Processor: 2.5 GHz (3+ GHz recommended), ARM processors not supported Memory: 8 GB (16GB recommended) Disk space: 10.0 GB Display: 1920 x 1080 resolution with True Color are the current requirements for AutoCAD 2023. S Mode will prevent you from downloading third party applications. Microsoft has a dedicated Photo application that comes as part of Windows 11. Windows also has a built in Sleep Mode function, but with a laptop you can enter it automatically by closing the screen.

- Answer You can turn off S mode, as I did once I got the laptop. Its easy to do - and you get full use of the os (with S mode turned off)

- Answer Yes, and yes, "Dave" is only partially correct. Since Office 2016 is a Microsoft product, you don't have to exit S Mode to install it. However, since you will already have the trial Office 365 on the device, you may have to uninstall 365 to use 2016, or have a conflict between the two programs.

- Answer Checking the developer site would be the best option. Make sure that it at least meets the minimum system requirements. Updates can impact if the game will work and what settings you can play it on. Since it can change rapidly, it is just a safe way to know if will work and how well it will run.

- Answer "Papi" is correct, but if this laptop doesn't have a 30-day trial of MS Office, it must be the only one in the Windows world. However, if that is the case, you can download the trial. There are also a number of free Office substitutes that work just fine. Just Google "free Office substitute."
