A:AnswerThere are buttons on the underside of the monitor. The button just to the left of the power button will activate the display temperature settings. You should be able to get rid of the "cool" (blue) setting. I've used a bunch of these monitors so I'm very familiar with their behavior.

A:AnswerThe new HP monitor that I purchased at Best Buy came with an HDMI cable only. My HP tower was using a DVI cable, so I simply purchased an HDMI to a DVI adapter cable. I'm sure you could do the same to convert to a VGA setup.
