Q: QuestionThe monitor came with a HDMI cable but directions show also a VGA cable. Do I need to get a VGA cable also? The monitor would not come on. Thanks

Q: QuestionI bought a USB 3.0 adapter to connect the HDMI cable to my laptop as my HP Elitebook laptop does not have an HDMI port. The laptop could not recognize the monitor. The monitor only came with an HDMI port. How do I connect the monitor to laptop?

• A:Answer Usually you will need a USB-C to HDMI adapter, because it's a USB-C that will deliver monitor signal, not standard USB-A. What other ports does your laptop have? We can't really answer without knowing the actual model and its specs.

Q: QuestionNo sound is produced. The message says "input signal not found check the video cable and video source". I see the connection on the computer but where is it on the monitor? I have checked the back, sides, bottom, but found no place to connect to.

• A:Answer On the back of the monitor, you'll notice an area that runs across the back in the center that's thicker than the rest of the monitor. The video input ports are on the very bottom of that. If you feel the bottom of that area on the monitor, you'll find them.
